There is a way in which anyone –fully sighted or visually impaired – could play an active part in shaping the future development of the charity. By paying a nominal annual subscription you could become a member of the CBA. Membership is available to anyone with an interest in the way the CBA conducts its business and the manner in which it grows in the future.
By becoming a member your name, address and telephone number will be kept on a register of ‘members’ here at the Sight Centre. This register is only accessed by staff members and your details will not be given to anyone else. We use the register of members to circulate information about events, opportunities and activities which perhaps are not received in time to be promoted through our quarterly magazine (which you will receive) ‘Outlook’.
Very importantly, members are circulated the agenda and other notices relating to the Associations Annual General Meeting in October and any other meeting of members, which might be called from time to time. Furthermore members are entitled to vote on these issues.
So, if you think you would like to keep up to date with news about the Cornwall Blind Association and influence its future direction, just complete the slip below and return it with £5 membership fee, to the Sight Centre.
I would like to become a member of the CBA. I understand my name and address will be kept on computer and this will only be accessed by Sight Centre Staff.
