ACCESS OPTIONS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Do you (or someone you know) have difficulty seeing to use a computer, or to use a magnifier for reading? A one-to one assessment can be arranged as appropriate for you to see our part-time Access Technology Officer.

You will have the opportunity to discuss your visual difficulties in more detail and gain hands-on experience of a range of specialist equipment which may help you at home, out and about, in education or employment.

Our aim is to suggest ways in which you can use specialist equipment to help you achieve your needs whatever your age, background or experience.

Specialist equipment can help you ‘read’ in a different way, and computers can be adapted to help you communicate with the rest of the world with the appropriate training and support.
