Do you have great Fundraising ideas, but are unsure of how to get them up and running? Are you enthusiastic about fundraising and Cornwall Blind Association? If so WE NEED YOU! Join one of our new Fundraising groups and help CBA to raise money in the area where you live.
We are building up a number of fundraising groups across the County to support Cornwall Blind Association at store collections, local shows and events and alongside one off events.
We currently have a team of supporters of Cornwall Blind Association who play an important role in raising funds for Cornwall Blind Association. Debbie Henshaw is always on the end of the phone to offer advice, encouragement and provide mentoring support to them. 01872 266709 or 07966 845 321
What makes our Fundraising groups so special is that each group is totally different. Some groups arrange one large event a year, and other groups meet regularly to organise an impressive programme of activities throughout the year.
Why should you join a group?
If you are interested in joining or starting a friends group please email dhenshaw@cornwallblind.org.uk
Of course, if you want to organise your own events, within your community or with your circla of friends, such as holding coffee mornings, bingo evenings, church services or grander events then we looking forward to hearing from you!
One of our Volunteers Ted Kempe says - " I support Cornwall Blind Association for the work they do and for the friendliness of everyone, but for me it is the happiness of the Blind person, to see the difference our efforts mean to them it makes it all worthwhile".
If you would like more details please contact me - Debbie Henshaw 01872 276709 or email dhenshaw@cornwallblind.org.uk
Due to the vulnerability of those we support, Cornwall Blind association must obtain two references, after which the Fundraising volunteer and volunteer coordinator meet to discuss interests and expectations. At this orientation meeting, the policies and procedures of the Charity regarding confidentiality, and volunteer role description will be discussed. This process is in place to protect both the people we support and our volunteers. It is designed to help our volunteers find a position that meets with their goals and expectations and enriches their lives as well as the lives of the people we support.
We very much welcome your interest, time and caring community spirit.
