Small change quickly mounts up, so why not order your very own collection box to help us raise the money we need each year to help support Blind and Visually impaired people in Cornwall that need our help.
Placing one of our cash collection boxes at your till points or reception areas can help Cornwall Blind Association in a simple but very effective way. Last year our collection boxes raised over £1,000.00
Our collection boxes not only raise much-needed funds they also help to raise the awareness of Cornwall Blind Association.
If you would like to display a collection box and help raise vital funds for Cornwall Blind Association please contact Debbie Henshaw 01872 266709
If you are a company or organisation you can help us by having a static collection box or spinner in your place of work. We will empty and replace these on a regular basis throughout the year or if it gets full between collection times you can always give us a call and we will come and empty and replace the box for you.
If you are an individual, have a cardboard home money box in your home and when it gets full, count up the money and send us a cheque for the equivalent, which means you can re-use the home box again and again. Or, if you prefer, drop the box into one of our Sight Centre's. We will count it up and bank it on your behalf and send you a replacement box in the post.
If you're running a marathon, trekking across a country or taking part in any other event, use this opportunity to collect sponsorship money
We provide you with an official CBA sponsorship form so that you can approach friends, family and workmates and ask them to support your challenge. You can download a Sponsor Form by clicking here (link to sponsor form) Please encourage everyone who sponsors you to GiftAid their donation this will help us maximise the amount the charity receives.
Set up your own online fundraising page with Justgiving. This allows you to reach all your friends, family and work colleagues wherever they are. It also collects the money and sends it to the CBA for you. It's quick and easy to do. Visit www.justgiving.com/cba and it only takes a few minutes to set up your page.
You can:
Can your employer double your funds? Several employers offer to match, in part or full, charity funds raised by their employees. It's their way of ensuring the charitable donations they make are ones that their employees are happy with. So ask your employer if they operate a ‘matched giving' scheme. Sometimes your bank will also agree to match fund your donations.
Our fundraising and press team will be happy to give you assistance with writing a press release and contacting your local newspapers and radio stations to see if they would like to publicise your fundraising activity. This helps raise the profile of the CBA and, if it's an event other people can enter on behalf of the CBA, it could even help us raise more money. Complete the event notification and send it to us.
We ask you to tell us about your fundraising event so that we can provide you with support to make it an even bigger success.
