ACCESS OPTIONS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Do you have a problem with reading or watching television? At Cornwall Blind Association we run weekly eye clinics where you can have an eye examination and be assessed by a qualified optometrist for a magnifier or spectacle mounted telescope.

Our trained and experienced staff may be able to help you. How long you will have to wait to be seen is dependent on the workload at the time but should not normally be more than 4 - 6 weeks.

You may be referred by a doctor, optician, social worker or simply refer yourself and our staff will advise you how we can best assist you.

Home visits are usually only offered as a follow-up to clinic appointments unless you are unable to attend our Truro Sight Centre because of your mobility.

ways in which your sight difficulty might be alleviated.

Where you are unable to organise your own transport to attend a clinic we may be able to organise this for you, please contact the service at the Truro Sight Centre

Any items issued are on loan and remain the property of Cornwall Blind Association.
