Equipment Demonstration

The Equipment Room at the Truro Sight Centre is full of gadgets to help you in your every day life.

From talking clocks to big button telephones, tactile dominoes to large print playing cards, Cornwall Blind Association has them all on display for you to ‘try before you buy’.

We also have demonstration kitchen which, as well as containing equipment such as talking microwaves and tactile timers, is set out to show how to mark your cooker and washing machine with ‘bump-ons’ - simple, but very effective.

You are invited to drop in at anytime and have a look at all the equipment available. We can explain how the equipment we have operates and give advice about what might be most suitable. The equipment can then be ordered for you and delivered direct to your door.

If you are unable to get to the Truro Sight Centre we can send you are large print catalogue which contains most of the equipment. Catalogues can also be requested on audiotape or in Braille.
