Cornwall Blind Association - Improving the lives of visually impaired people

Our services

Our services aim to provide the support needed for the visually impaired living in Cornwall.

Our low vision clinics help people to maximise their vision, we supply and teach people how to use latest access technology and we demonstrate a full range of useful aids for everyday living. Our telephone support, befriending, advocacy and counselling schemes help to meet social and emotional needs. Our volunteer transport scheme makes a huge difference when sight loss makes it difficult for people to get around.

Local clubs and social activities play an important part in the lives of those who attend, including gardening, guitar, Braille and computers.  We also support Blind at Sea (BATS), Bugle Blues Bowling Club, Blind in Song Choir (BLIS), Cornwall Association of Blind Shooting (CABs).
