Cornwall Blind Association - Improving the lives of visually impaired people

Low Vision

Do you have a problem with reading or watching television? At Cornwall Blind Association we run weekly low vision assessments around the County.

Low Vision Clinic

Our trained and experienced staff in Low Vision clinics may be able to help you. How long you will have to wait to be seen is dependent on the workload at the time but should not normally be more than four to six weeks.

To access the service, you will need a low vision referral from your optician.

Home visits are usually only offered as a follow-up or if you are unable to attend any of our clinics around the County because you are housebound.

We can also offer advice about lighting or other ways in which your sight difficulty might be alleviated.

Where you are unable to organise your own transport to attend a clinic we may be able to organise if you contact the Truro Sight Centre on 01872 266702.

Any items issued are on loan and remain the property of Cornwall Blind Association.

To contact the Low Vision Clinic please call 01872 266702 or you can email: lyndathomas@cornwallblind.org.uk
