Winter Fuel Payment

This is a lump sum payment to those people that have reached Pension Credit age by the 19/09/2011.

If you are aged under 80 you will recieve £200 if you are the only person in the household. If you are married or share a household with someone else of pension credit age then you recieve £100 each. If you are aged 80 or over then the payment will be £300. If there is more than one person it will be £150 each.

You should automatically recieve this payment by 25/12/2011 but if you have not, please call 0845 915 1515 to make your claim before 30/03/2012.

This payment is less than previously because the Government supplemented the payment and this additional amount has now been withdrawn.
